In this article, I'll share the steps involved in sending a booking quote to potential clients.
Sometimes, a prospective client might opt to contact you directly for a quote instead of booking through Mallard Bay or your GuideTech site. We've developed a feature that allows you to swiftly generate a quote and forward it to the client. This article will walk you through the process step by step.
Step 1: Launch your Mallard Bay Admin Dashboard
For guidance on logging into your Dashboard please see our "How do I login to my admin dashboard as an outfitter or charter?" support article.
Step 2: Navigate to the Send Quote
-
On your Admin Dashboard, you'll see several options on the upper left-hand side of the page. For sending a quote to potential clients, you'll need to select the Send Quote option.
Step 3: Managing Quotes
-
Here you will have the ability to view all previously created quotes for your Outfitter. You can select a quote to make changes, select the link icon to copy the link to the quote, or select the power icon to deactivate the quote.
Step 4: Creating a Quote
-
To send a new quote, select the Create Quote button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- You'll then need to select the listing and dates you would like to include in the quote. If you would like to allow the sportsmen to adjust the dates for the trip you can select the padlock icon, located beneath the calendar, to enable that flexibility.
- Once you have made your selections, click Continue.
Step 5: Include Pricing Details
- You will then have the options to select the preferred pricing package for the quote, set the total guests, and include any requested add-ons. For each of these options, you will have the ability to select the padlock icon, to allow the sportsmen to make changes.
- Once you have selected your pricing details, click the Continue button.
Step 6: Review Quote Details
- You'll then have the option to review the quote details, and added any notes prior to creating the quote.
- Once you confirmed the quote is correct and ready to send, click the Create button.
Step 7: Sending the Quote
- Once the quote has been created, it will be added to the top of the list of quotes.
- Select the link icon to copy the link to your clipboard.
- You can than paste that link in a text or email to the customer. If the customer reached out to you within the messaging tool on the site, you can also reply directly using the inbox feature. See our "How do I message clients from my Mallard Bay Dashboard?" support article for guidance.
In conclusion, sending a quote allows you to quickly get the necessary information over to a potential client and increases the likelihood of them booking their next adventure with you. Should you run into any issues, please contact our account manager. They are always happy to send a quote on your behalf.
