# How do I set a custom deposit amount or stack multiple discounts on one booking?

## Set a fixed dollar amount or percentage as the deposit when you build the booking or quote. For more than one discount, add each as its own adjustment line on the booking/quote rather than relying on stacked coupon codes at checkout.

You can handle both from the booking/quote setup, depending on how you’re taking the booking.

- When creating or editing a booking/quote, set the amount due up front as the deposit.
- You can use either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage if that option is available for the listing/package setup.
- The remaining balance can be collected later with a payment request or scheduled/payment notice.

Multiple discounts

- You can add discounts or price adjustments to a booking/quote before sending it to the customer.
- If you need more than one discount, the cleanest approach is usually to add each discount as its own adjustment line so it’s clear what was applied.
- Coupon stacking may depend on your coupon/settings configuration, so if the checkout won’t allow multiple coupon codes, use manual adjustments on the booking or quote instead.
