How to Search through your Dashboard

In this video, we will be going over the global search bar at the top of your dashboard that can be used to navigate various features with ease.


Overview

The new Global Search feature in the Mallard Bay dashboard allows you to quickly search across key data in your account, including bookings, clients, leads, listings, quote requests, and knowledge base articles — all from one convenient place.

This tool is designed to save time and eliminate the need to manually dig through different tabs to find what you're looking for.


🔎 Where to Find It

  • The search bar is located in the top-left corner of your dashboard.

 

 Example Use Cases

A. Search for a Client or Booking

  1. Click on the search bar.

  2. Type the client's name.

  3. Results will include:

    • Bookings associated with that name

    • The client profile (if they’ve booked before)

    • Any related quotes or leads

B. Search by Listing Title

  • Enter part of the trip name (e.g., “Waterfowl Hunt”) to pull up that specific listing.

  • Click the result to go directly to the listing editor.

C. Search Knowledge Base Articles

  • Type in a keyword like “quote” or “deposit.”

  • You’ll see a list of articles that match your search.

  • Click any article to view step-by-step instructions on relevant features.


 Pro Tips

  • Use client names to quickly jump to their bookings, quotes, and profiles.

  • Use search as a navigation shortcut to get to listings or past quote requests fast.

  • Searching for “how to” phrases will pull up related help articles instantly.

  • We'll continue expanding what can be searched over time.
