Can I fully drop my old website host or booking tool once I join Mallard Bay?
In most cases yes, once your Mallard Bay website, booking flow, and payment settings are live and tested — just confirm your domain/email/DNS aren't bundled with the old host and export any historical data first.
In many cases, yes — but it depends on what your old website host or booking tool is currently handling.
Mallard Bay can typically replace a lot of the co
-
Online listings and booking requests
-
Payments and deposits
-
Client records
- Forms and waivers
- Messaging templates
- Website pages through the Website Builder
- Reporting and performance tracking
Before fully dropping an old provider, I’d recommend confirming a few things:
- Your website is live and pointed correctly
- Make sure your Mallard Bay website or embedded booking experience is published and connected to your domain.
- Your booking flow is fully set up
- Listings, pricing, availability, forms, deposits, and payment settings should all be ready.
- Existing bookings and client data are accounted for
- Export anything you need from the old system before canceling.
- Email, domain, and DNS are not bundled with the old host
- Some website hosts also manage your domain name or business email. Don’t cancel until you know where those are managed.
- Any integrations are replaced
- Check calendars, payment tools, forms, analytics, automations, or marketing pixels you rely on.
So the short answer is: you may be able to drop them, but don’t cancel until your Mallard Bay setup is live, tested, and all critical data is backed up.
If you tell me what tool or host you’re replacing, I can help you make a quick checklist before you cancel it.
