In this video, we will walk through new features and improvements added to the create booking flow, such as marked deposits and newer, more simple ways to collect payments through the dashboard.
Overview
This guide covers the latest improvements to the Create Booking experience. While the basic flow remains familiar, several powerful new features have been added — including manual deposit entry, scheduled payments, and multiple collection methods (email, link, or QR code).
Accessing the Booking Flow
You can still create bookings in two ways:
-
Go to your Calendar and click Add Booking, or
-
Go to Bookings → Create Booking
Entering Booking Details
-
Select the listing for the booking.

Name & phone number are required.
-
Email is optional but strongly recommended — especially for using the new email confirmation and payment features.

-
Choose the trip date(s), guest count, and any add-ons.
NEW: Mark a Manual Deposit
If you've already received a cash, check, or other offline deposit, you can now:
-
Scroll to the Deposit section.
-
Toggle "Deposit Received" to Yes.
-
Enter:
-
Amount received
-
Date received
-
This will automatically calculate and display the client’s remaining balance.
Payment Collection Options
You can now collect payment in several flexible ways:
A. If Client Has Already Paid a Deposit
-
Choose to collect just the remaining balance.
B. Collection Methods

Schedule a Future Payment
You can now schedule a charge for a future date.
-
Choose Pay in Full or Pay less upfront.
-
Enter client’s credit card details manually or email a payment link.
-
Adjust the "Due Date" to when you'd like the charge to process.
-
This sets the payment to "Pending" until the scheduled run date.
- Utilized this feature to schedule remaining balances or both deposits and the remaining balance down the road!
-

Pro Tips

If sending a payment request by link or QR, double check the deposit status is correctly marked.
-
Use the scheduled payment option to reduce no-shows or last-minute cancellations.
